The Windmill

The Windmill is the first and friendliest farm and craft market in upstate New York, located right in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region. Midway between Penn Yan and Dundee on NY Route 14A, The Windmill has become a premier tourist attraction, with a weekly attendance exceeding 8,000 - 10,000 people.

Watkins Glen Farmers Market

Seasonal outdoor farmers market. Fresh produce, meats,soaps and toiletry items and more. FMNP checks and New York EBT /SNAP Food Stamp Benefits accepted!

From Memorial Day Weekend until the last Friday in October you'll find fresh vegetables, chicken, beef, eggs and flowers from local farmers You'll also find baked goods, cheese, maple syrup, honey, soap, wine and unique crafts; all produced locally.

Museums

Brick Tavern Museum

Built in 1828, the Brick Tavern Museum is the oldest brick structure in Schuyler County.  It was built as a tavern on the stagecoach route and has also been a Select School for Boys, a boarding house and a home to Dr. Charles D. Clawson, who ran the nearby Bethesda Sanitarium.  After Dr. Clawson's death, the building continued as a family home until his grandson, the late Charles Lattin, sold it to the Society in 1974.

Corning Museum of Glass

Established in 1951 by Corning Glass Works (now Corning Incorporated) as a gift to the nation for the company’s 100th anniversary, The Corning Museum of Glass is a not-for-profit museum dedicated to telling the story of a single material: glass.

Glen H. Curtis Museum

The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, bearing the name of Hammondsport's favorite son, is located on State Route 54, one half mile south of the village of Hammondsport, New York. Dedicated to the memory of pioneer aviator, Glenn Curtiss, the museum contains a priceless collection relating to early aviation and regional history. The museum also features a 75-seat theater, large open area for special events and a museum store. In addition to seeing the museum displays and exhibits, visitors are welcome to visit the Restoration Shop, talk with volunteer craftsman and watch them work on historic aircraft

International Motor Racing Research Center

The International Motor Racing Research Center collects, shares and preserves the history of motorsports. Spanning continents, eras and race series, the Center’s collection embodies the speed, drama and camaraderie of amateur and professional motor racing throughout the world. The Center welcomes serious researchers and the casual fans alike to share stories of race drivers, race series, and race cars captured on our shelves and walls, and brought to life through a regular calendar of public lectures and special events.

National Soaring Museum

The NSM has had a long history, entwined with that of Harris Hill and its surrounding area.

Rockwell Museum

More than a museum! Displaying exquisite pieces, The Rockwell is a unique community center where people enjoy, connect, and reflect on the essence of the American spirit, character and values through the eyes of American artists.

Outdoors

Farm Santuary

Nestled in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, the rolling green pastures of Farm Sanctuary’s 275-acre New York shelter are home to more than 800 rescued farm animals. Spend the day with us and take an hour-long guided tour, browse our unique gift shop, learn more about farm animals in our Visitor Center, or enjoy a snack on our scenic deck. We are located next door to Sugar Hill State Forest, just west of Watkins Glen.

Keuka Outlet Trail

In the heart of New York State’s Finger Lakes you can fish, hike, bike, horseback ride, snowmobile, or cross-country ski seven miles of wooded trail bordering the Keuka outlet created nearly 10,000 years ago between Keuka and Seneca Lakes from Penn Yan to Dresden, NY

Painted Barn Stables

Painted Bar Stables is a community-oriented riding facility offering year-round guided trail rides to the general public as well as lessonsleasingboarding and educational opportunities.
